Common online payment questions

How do I make an online payment?

    1. Firstly check you are choosing the correct course, and adding the correct course to your basket.  If you are unsure, contact our LiveChat advisor who’ll steer you in the right direction with the appropriate links.
    2. The course you wish to purchase has its full RRP price in £ sterling.
    3. As you "Proceed to Checkout" you will create your own learning account details linked to your email address and the password you have chosen.
    4. At this point you will need to create a learner log in. If you are booking the course for yourself, just select your credentials in the dropdown. If you are creating the course on behalf of the learner, you will need to add their name and email address. This is required so that we can send them the login information for the course and have direct correspondence about the course.
    5. Once you have created the learner account/s, you can then make your card/ PayPal payment. Firstly, you will need to add your billing information, and click save. Next you will need to select your payment method. If you are choosing to pay by invoice, once the transaction is concluded, our finance team will be in touch with an invoice as well as details of how to pay.
    6. You may have a corporate or a promotional discount code that you wish to use.  Type this code in the “Discount Code”  field and click "Apply". This code will automatically activate a discount to the cost of your purchase. Remember that VAT is added if appropriate and discount codes do not apply to VAT.
    7. When the payment has gone through, you will receive an email with your online course login details. You will be able to access your course instantly.

When can I access my online course?

Once you have successfully completed the transaction you will be sent an email with your login and this will give you instant access to the course. We offer instant access to our online courses if you choose to purchase by credit card, PayPal or invoice so there’s no need to wait to get started on your leaning journey.

Can I choose which currency I prefer to pay in?

No.  All payments have to be securely made in £ sterling if you choose to pay by debit card or by credit card. If you are paying by PayPal you may wish to convert the payment in your own  PayPal account to a different currency, however the payment to Astutis will be made in our native currency of £ Stirling.

Do I have to pay VAT?

Yes. You will have to pay the VAT rate in the country where you are living at the time of completing the course. This will automatically be added to the total in the shopping cart when you pay.

Are there any other payments such as for exams or certificates or materials?

It depends on which online course you are taking. For example, we offer the NEBOSH General Certificate online course with and without an exam payment. If you purchase just the course, you will need to purchase and register for the assessment when you feel ready to sit the assessment. This is an additional cost of £200 +VAT. The Certificate and digital materials are included in the course fee.

Can I cancel my course once I have started and get a refund?

If you want to cancel you will be eligible to cancellation terms outlined in Astutis' Terms and Conditions.
