Gist: Redefining Health and Safety Standards
Find out how Astutis trained over 900 workers in the Gist organisation to establish a sounder health and safety footing.
Course
Background
Transforming supply chains since 1961, Gist pride themselves in working with their customers to deliver innovative solutions and transform supply chains. They have a proven track record spanning more than 50 years. Deploying industry-leading expertise in global supply chains, creating a competitive advantage for their customers by bringing end-to-end visibility and implementation, along with environmental benefits.
They work with market-leading businesses, including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose and Starbucks.
Challenges
Initially, in 2016 Gist enquired about a single Delegate enrolling on one of our Public courses. Since that point, and this has grown by Astutis delivering health, safety and environment training to over 1000 Personnel.
Gist cited operational insufficiency regarding health and safety standards as their prime reasoning for reaching out to Astutis. Safety drives Gist in their core values, and Gist saw their health and safety standards in reach with Astutis.
Results
Astutis has upskilled approximately 900 Employees Online alone, trained to IOSH Managing Safely level. We also provided day to day Account Management support. SLA’s are in place to provide an excellent standard of service.
Gist was delighted with the results of their training with Astutis. Gist inform us they have continued to reap the rewards of the training with us and therefore have looked to introduce more training into their company. Astutis has incorporated a major online rollout of online training to Warehousing and Driver Personnel within a specific timescale to help Gist meet regulatory deadlines. Since the inception of our partnership with Gist, we have trained through other Astutis courses, including CDM, NEBOSH Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals, NEBOSH General Certificate, IEMA Environmental courses and Refresher training. As of early 2022, Astutis and Gist are developing a Safe bespoke working in Warehousing and Logistics course.
