The NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma is an advanced qualification. You should already understand fundamental health and safety principles such as risk assessment, hazard control, accident investigation, and key regulations.
It is very strongly recommended to have either completed the NEBOSH General Certificate, or have at least 5 years experience working in a health and safety role.
You’ll also need to have a good level of communication to critically analyse information and apply it to any given scenario.

Assessments
Each assessment is completed electronically and submitted through the NEBOSH exam portal. You'll have between 2-4 weeks to complete your assessments, and will have a dedicated start date and submission deadline.
Information
You must pass all three units to achieve your full NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma. Your total number of marks will determine your final qualification grade.
Please note: For any assessments taken after 1st August 2023, all assessments must be submitted in PDF format only.

Read moreIt is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7.0 or higher in IELTS test.
The course syllabus and learning outcomes remain the same as the previous specification.
The main driver in this change was to restore all International learners the ability to use their qualification to achieve IOSH membership.

The next step during the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety course, is completing a Skills Development Portfolio. Once the Portfolio is completed, you will be asked to attend a peer review interview. Following the successful completion of all units of your NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, you will also need to maintain your continuing professional development (CPD).
