It is important that you have a suitable standard of English language to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
The EMC1 open book exam is completed electronically and submitted through the NEBOSH exam portal. You have 24 hours from 11am (UK time) on exam day to complete and submit your exam paper.
You will be requested to review a real-life scenario and answer theoretical and practical questions around environmental management.
The EMC2 is a practical assessment, where learners can assess environmental aspects and impacts on their chosen workplace.
This can be completed at a place of work or at home, and is submitted by email according to deadline.
You must successfully pass both units to achieve your full NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate.
