Background
With approximately 82,000 employees at some 1,300 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne + Nagel Group (K+N) is one of the world’s leading logistics companies. Its strong market position lies in the seafreight, airfreight, contract logistics and overland businesses, with a clear focus on high value-added segments such as IT-based integrated logistics solutions.
Challenges
As an approved supplier to K+N, Astutis has supported the facilitation and delivery of NEBOSH and IEMA training to K+N’s Food and Drink Logistics division since 2016. Courses supported include NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH National Diploma, IEMA Foundation Certificate and IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
In addition to our accredited HSE training support, Astutis has also assisted in arranging comprehensive Fire Risk Assessor training and terrific client feedback has been received for all the training services we have supported. Training is provided across several delivery mediums, including traditional classroom courses delivered at nominated site locations, and the virtual classroom hosted via MS Teams.
Results
Following an initial proof of concept trial, most recently Astutis has extended our support to Kuehne + Nagel Government & Defence (KNGD), to whom we provide our best in class online (e-learning) IOSH Managing Safely training course. The initial trial of service was very successful and the course and our LMS received great feedback, which led to a wider rollout of the course within KNGD.
Underpinned by dedicated Account Management support, Astutis and K+N enjoy a longstanding and trusted relationship, which continues to go from strength to strength. The company has found a more consistent compliance regime relating to Health and Safety as a hugely beneficial factor in efficiency and workforce satisfaction.
