The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is assessed in a two-step process:
- FSC1: An online open book exam (OBE) and supporting closing interview
- FSC2: A workplace-based practical fire risk assessment
For the FSC1 you will be presented with a scenario describing a realistic workplace and situation, and will have to carry out a series of tasks using the scenario provided and your knowledge gained throughout your learning.
The FSC2 is a practical fire risk assessment based on a workplace of your choosing.
This can be completed at a place of work or at home, and is submitted by email according to deadline.
You need to pass both assessments to achieve your qualification.
You can find further details on the OBE exams in the NEBOSH Guide here:
Remember, you need to register for your NEBOSH Fire Certificate exam at least 5 weeks before your chosen exam date.
