This course is for anyone who is responsible for dealing with accidents and investigating them should they occur, including: fire responders, supervisors, managers and safety representatives.

Upon completion of the Astutis course, your staff will be able to:

• Recognise the difference between accidents and incidents.
• Understand accident causation theory, including the stages of accidents: immediate causes, underlying causes, root causes.
• Appreciate how human factors effect accidents.
• Understand how to improve employee reporting of accidents.

The course is currently available as an In-Company course. Throughout this delivery method, the tutor will be assessing learners through practical exercises, assessments and open discussion after each element. Once you complete the Astutis course, your tutor will issue your assessment results.

Following the successful completion and submission of your results by the tutor, posting your Astutis Accident and Incident Investigation certificate can take up to 2-4 weeks. A digital copy of the certificate is also available if required.
