Safety for Representatives

Safety for Representatives provides safety representatives (SR) and representatives of employee safety (RoES) with the necessary knowledge to understand their role and responsibilities, and how their actions can positively impact health and safety in the workplace.

 

On completion of the course delegates will be better able to define hazard and risk, identify a range of common workplace hazards, contribute to improving safety performance and undertake the role and functions of safety representatives (SR), representatives of employee safety (RoES) and contribute to safety committees.

Assessments

  • The assessment takes the form of an open discussion between the tutor and the learners. Case studies, scenario learning are used throughout the course to ensure that course objectives are met.

    Learners who successfully pass the course will receive a certificate of competency in the role as a Safety Representative.

Improving safety performance Monitoring you health and safety performance and allocating the appropriate resources.

Roles and functions of representatives Including attending meetings, investigating accidents and reporting dangerous occurrences.
