The NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation requires you to complete a practical assessment. You will be provided with a pack of evidence including three witness interview videos relating to an incident.

You will be asked to review the evidence, evaluate each interview and produce an action plan that will help prevent a recurrence of such an incident.

You will need to book one of the available dates to take your assessment, just complete our booking form under the 'Book Now' section.

NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation Exam Process

You will be required to complete a 60 minute practical assessment. You will be provided with a pack of evidence and shown a video of three witness interviews relating to an incident - one from the injured party and two from witnesses. Upon evaluation of the interviews, you will need to produce an action plan that will help prevent a recurrence of an incident. 


Exam Day

If you are studying the course either on-site or virtually through your company, then the assessment will be taken at the end of your course.  Astutis can inform you when the assessment will need to be submitted, and a template is provided for you to complete your assessment.

There is no restriction on the time you can take, however it is expected you will need no more than 60 minutes.


Online Learner Information

If you are studying via online learning, you will required to book a date for your assessment.

Once this has been confirmed, you can then download the assessment template from the course content page inside the course, complete the assessment and send it to Astutis. The assessment can be either typed or completed by hand.

You have three months from the point of purchase to register and complete your exam.


Your NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation Results

Results are usually issued within 24 working days of completing your assessment, however this can be slightly earlier or later dependent on any moderation undertaken.

Upon successful completion a certificate is issued and sent in the post directly from NEBOSH. This can take up to 6-8 weeks after receiving your results.
