Third of workers doing jobs they are not qualified for
In today’s ever changing workplace it’s now more important than ever to keep up with the latest developments in your industry, as research shows that 50% of employee skills become outdated in 3 years1.
The global financial crisis has unfortunately meant that many peoples jobs have been put ‘at risk’ and employees are taking on responsibilities which didn’t traditionally fit into their role. In a recent survey, over one third of employees said that they are trying to do jobs they aren’t professionally trained for due to cutbacks in their organisation (Thirdforce).
87% people also stated that they prefer to learn at their own pace rather than in a classroom setting2; for many employees and employers online learning can be the perfect solution to this issue.
Online learning offers many benefits over traditional learning methods, such as reducing travel costs, saving time, increased learner control, being more environmentally friendly and encouraging quieter students to take a more active role in their learning.
Is online learning right for you? Use our checklist to find out!
