There are three knowledge-based assignments, one for each taught module. This is in the form of a written document for each of the three modules, and you will take each one as you complete the relevant module.
Assessment of Competence
You will then need to complete an Assessment of Competence based on work experience, how the knowledge gained throughout the course can be applied practically within the workplace. This is taken after all other modules have been successfully completed. This is to qualify for Practitioner Membership of IEMA (PIEMA), and you will receive details on how to join.
You will receive a certificate from IEMA upon successful completion, this can take 6-10 weeks to arrive.
You will undertake a short online multiple-choice test at the end of your course.
Upon successful completion, delegates will be issued with an IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers certificate. This can take 6-10 weeks to arrive.

There is no exam at the end of the course. Instead learners will be put through an end of course review to solidify and cement the knowledge presented throughout the course.
If you have unfortunately been unsuccessful on any IEMA assessment, don't worry! With the exception of the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management, the IEMA assessments come with a second attempt if needed, at no extra charge.
If you are studying via classroom learning, virtual learning or on-site through your company, please just contact IEMAadmin@astutis.com to arrange.
Online learners can reach our online team on email@example.com and they can allow a second attempt.
Please note after a second attempt, any further re-sits will be payable.
