What is COSHH Awareness Training?
Employers have been required to undertake suitable and sufficient COSHH risk assessments. The current law can be found in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. These regulations form the foundation of this course.
The Astutis Health and Safety COSHH Training course enables employers to meet this legal obligation in the most flexible, convenient and cost-effective manner. Our training is designed to ensure that all employees, whether onsite or participating through a Virtual Classroom, understand the importance of safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances in the workplace

- What factors should be considered when undertaking a COSHH assessment
- The use and limitations of Workplace Exposure Limits
- How to select appropriate control measures to reduce the risk of ill-health from exposure to hazardous substances at work and
- How to write up a basic COSHH assessment.

- The course is evaluated through a formative assessment. A formative assessment is an ongoing evaluation used during the learning process to monitor learners progress and provide feedback.
Course Length
- The one course is available as a Classroom course delivered onsite or via a Virtual Classroom environment.
There are no entry requirements to study this course.
