Astutis Welcomes New Account Manager
Mark Leech joins Astutis this month as Account Manager covering the North and Scotland.
Mark joins from Santia where he has worked in partnership with clients for the last 8 years helping to arrange and deliver bespoke NEBOSH and IOSH accredited HS&E training and is himself qualified to NEBOSH Certificate level.
Having worked with the Astutis Management Team before, Mark knows what to expect and will be able to hit the ground running. He says:
“Steve and David recruited me into CHSS in 2006 where I learned my trade. It has been just over 3 years since, along with Bren, they left to set up Astutis and I am amazed at the speed and control with which they have grown the business.
I can easily see why they take pride in their organisation - in Astutis they have built a business that delivers Health and Safety solutions in an affordable and innovative way. It’s great to be part of the team and I have really enjoyed getting started.”
Mark began his career as a Royal Engineer in the Army in 1988, scaling the dizzy heights of Corporal before leaving. He then studied for a Diploma in Management Studies and Post Graduate Certificate in Management before moving into the world of Sales and Customer Service where he has gained invaluable experience over the last 20 years.
Steve Terry Managing Director said:
“Its great to have Mark on board as part of the dedicated Account Management team at Astutis. Living in the North West Mark is ideally placed to assist clients from Birmingham to Scotland and everywhere in-between. He will be a real asset to us and will build on the many relationships that have already been created. I worked with Mark back in the CHSS days and know that Astutis' clients will be impressed by his knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to delivering a first class service."
In his spare time Mark takes a keen interest in the footballing antics of his boys - managing and coaching the team of his eldest and managing a friendly rivalry between his youngest (who plays for Burnley FC) and himself - an avid Blackburn Rovers fan! He is qualified to level 2 in Coaching Children’s Football a hobby which he claims has taken over his life! He also enjoys running alongside his German Shepherd - so I am sure was can count on him for the Astutis 10K team next year…minus the German Shepherd!
