Another Step Towards 'Mobile Friendly' for LMS
Today sees the unveiling of a brand new look and feel to the Astutis online learning website.
Always keen to stay ahead of the game, our award-winning Learning Management System providers (LMS), Absorb have introduced significant changes to optimise the user experience for the multitude of people now citing mobile as their preferred device.
Moving away from a Flash based platform means that the LMS is HTML5 compatible and hence accessible via mobile.
At Astutis these changes are welcomed as part of on-going efforts to move to a more mobile friendly e learning website so that all online courses will be accessible via any computer or tablet.
Helen Hodges, Learning Designer at Astutis said:
“I have always been very impressed with Absorb it offers a clean and simple interface with straightforward navigation. The software is continually evolving to keep pace with changes in technology and we consistently receive positive feedback with regards to its ease of use for online learners. These new changes mean that our courses will offer learners even more flexibility in their studies.”
The Astutis LMS offers online learners a personal login with one of our accredited online courses which will enable 24/7 access to course materials via an internet connection. E learners are also easily able to view their progress at a glance, access downloadable course materials and receive automated reminder emails to keep them on track throughout their course. There is also the capability to sit online exams and receive feedback.
The new changes mean online learners will access fresher, more colourful, cleaner looking pages. They will be provided with detailed course overviews, clearer progress indications and prominent reminders of their course expiry date. Furthermore, the new menus will make for easier navigation.
The LMS can easily be set up to provide regular reports via email or login which means the system is also of particular benefit for training managers who want to keep track of their online learners progress.
