Introducing the IEMA Diploma in Sustainable Business Practice Course
Astutis are delighted to introduce the IEMA Diploma in Sustainable Business Practice into our prospering course library as a classroom addition.
The IEMA Diploma will be available from Wednesday, 19 July 2023.

The course consists of three central units that outline the course syllabus;
Module 1: Managing Environmental Media and Issues

- Natural cycles
- Global environmental issues
- Climate change adaptation and mitigation
- Carbon foot-printing
- Energy security
- Resource security
- Stranded assets
- Water risk
Module 2: Sustainability for Business
- Social aspects of sustainability
- The business case for sustainability
- Sustainability good practice
- Sustainable procurement
- Eco-design
- Circular economy
- Resource efficiency/management systems
- Transparency and reporting
Module 3: Personal Effectiveness for Change
- Ethics and leadership
- Corporate governance – strategic risks
- Organisation structure and culture
- Managing change
- Communication skills
- Financial modelling
- Building effective teams
After successfully completing the course, learners who pass will gain the IEMA Diploma SBP qualification (DipSBP).
The programme enables learners to gain the knowledge needed to join the IEMA, (MIEMA) and Chartered Environmentalist status (CEnv) progression tree.
Course Dates and Location
The course is a 15-day course spread over three engaging weeks split over seven months. The dates are;
- 9 - 13 October 2023 (Module 1)
- 22 - 26 January 2024 (Module 2)
- 15 - 19 April 2024 (Module 3)
