Head for Change: Rugby Ride Challenge 2022
On 05 and 06 March, between rounds 3 and 4 of this year’s 6 Nations Tournament, the Head for Change Rugby Ride Challenge 2022 powered by Zwift will take centre stage.
Head For Change, based in Wales, are a globally focussed charity co-founded by Alix Popham, former Welsh Rugby Union International. The charity looks to raise awareness, education and support for a growing issue surrounding brain injury in sport. The charity engages at all levels of rugby and football, from children and grassroots right the way through to Elite International level, to drive safety considerations and education for participants and their families.
Led by Alix, and joined by Geraint Thomas OBE, tour de France 2018 winner, the event will feature over 100 former rugby internationals and many other celebrity sporting ambassadors.
The Astutis team, led by Andy Rose, Finance Director, will have the dual aim of completing as many miles as they can towards the Wales team’s total and raising funds to support the charity’s important work.
Commenting on the event Andy said:
“Astutis has a strong heritage of supporting Welsh business and charities, so we are delighted to participating in the Head for Change virtual rugby ride challenge. We already have seven riders committed to taking part as well as colleagues coming along on the day to show their support. It is wonderful to see so many of our people from our own business pulling together to get this charity the much-needed funds to drive positive change for brain health.”
