NCRQ Diploma Accreditation Validity
Updated October 2022: It has become known that in October 2022 The National Compliance and Risk Qualifications (NCRQ) will no longer deliver educational programmes.
It is said that an industry enthused by competition truly delivers to its customers. Customer service improves across the board, and certainly, in our sector, the standard of training has constantly been enhanced. The health and safety training industry has never been so determined to produce the best for individual learners and vibrant organisations worldwide.
Reflecting on the last two years, it’s no surprise that the Covid restrictions, accompanied by the change in learning method demand and the competitor landscape inspired NEBOSH to innovate the NEBOSH Diploma assessment to a six-week process, helping learners when they needed it.
It could be argued that the development of the NCRQ Diploma helped the growth of online and virtual learning formats. The course had a positive impact; it influenced the industry by showcasing the effects of reducing costs.
We comprehend the industry impact of the NCRQ Diploma because we were proud to enrol one of our own Learning Development Managers on the course. The manager was highly impressed with the standard of the course and believed that the course helped ignite a fire in not just NEBOSH's belly but also our own. We acknowledge that the NCRQ Diploma played a factor, amid the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, in modernising our own NEBOSH Diploma Online course.
Astutis supports any qualification that promotes the advancement of health and safety. We are defiant in believing in the power of collaborative learning in the health and safety training marketplace. The legacy of the NCRQ Diploma will live on.
There are similarities between the NEBOSH Diploma and the NCRQ Diploma. Therefore, for learners contemplating moving to the NEBOSH Diploma, some benefits will feel familiar:
1. Assessments
Both Diplomas focus on the competence and skills required in the modern workplace. Learners are assessed by assignments and an online validation interview, instead of exams. With the theoretical understanding that just knowing how to answer exams question is not a substitute for how to apply that knowledge.
2. Reducing Financial Constraints
Both Diplomas combine the development of the qualifications with the delivery of online, virtual, and distance learning, to reduce costs and ensure that fees are not excessive.
3. Reducing Physical Restraints
Both Diplomas offer a blend of online activities and self-study. In addition to a focus on assignment-based assessment, this reduces the burden of travel time and costs for learners who do not live close to major cities.
The fight for improved health and safety standards must continue. We will march forth in our mission to be the standard bearer in health, safety and environmental training. We continue to improve our course library to ensure our learners receive the quality they expect from us.
To conclude, we want to put on record our thoughts are with those who may be negatively affected by the closure of NCRQ.
