Astutis Expands with New Training Facility
Astutis has announced that they have now expanded their Cardiff headquarters in Nantgarw to incorporate a new training facility, which officially opened on 3rd January 2012.
This expansion means that Astutis have more than doubled their office space expanding from 1500sq ft to 3500sq ft after only one year!
This growth has meant that there is now a new online learning development room for the multi-media team and also a brand new training facility including a coffee and comfort break area for delegates who attend courses at the Nantgarw site.
And it's not only their office size which has vastly increased during this short time. When Astutis launched on 6th January 2011 the team was composed of four full-time staff, there are now fifteen!
Managing Director Steve Terry said "The increased space is a real indicator of the progress that we have made in our first year, we now have 15 full-time staff delivering fantastic service to our clients and have therefore had to grow our facilities to suit."
Astutis moved into 6 Charnwood Court, Nantgarw back in February 2011. This is familiar territory for most of the staff as many of the them worked at 1 Charnwood Court during their days at CHSS (Corporate Health & Safety Solutions).
"We plan to run some of our Cardiff based courses here and in-fact will also be able to hire out the training room to external clients and local businesses whenever required." continued Steve.
Astutis also offers training UK-wide at centres in Heathrow, Wakefield, Warrington, Darlington, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

"Lots of detail but delivered in such a way to make it easy to understand, the resources and advice given throughout the course was first class."

"The tutor was excellent, and the course was designed so that the information was easy to digest and understand through real-life scenarios. The problem-based learning approach and active participation in classroom discussions and homework exercises helped me pass the exam on my first attempt."

"The two weeks of comprehensive in-class training, coupled with the gaps between the exams, provided ample time for preparation and reflection on what I learned in the classroom. NG2 was very interesting, and the classroom exercises helped me grasp the theme of assessment, specifically how (RMs) were assessed."

"The online learning portal was easy and straight forward to use, it was well laid out and had fantastic online resource sections which were great for printing out to have to hand - especially handy for highlighting important points. I had purchased the NEBOSH Managing Health and Safety book to help with my study, but in all honesty, the information in the portal covered all the relevant material anyway. I only needed to phone for assistance on a couple of occasions, but found the guidance helpful and quick."

"Having a secondary role at work as a Health and Safety coordinator means passing the NEBOSH General Certificate is a great indication of the knowledge and understanding I have achieved so far. This is a staple qualification in this field and I now have the confidence to venture into Health and Safety in a more primary role and as a progression of career."
