Astutis Foregoes Christmas Cards to Make Donation to Mind in Memory of Ben Swales
At Astutis, we always aim to foster a culture of care, community, and responsibility—not just within our team, but in the wider world. This year, as we do each year, we forego sending traditional Christmas cards to our customers, and instead, make a charitable donation to a good cause. This year we have donated to Mind, a charity that provides mental health support to those who need it most.
This donation is made in memory of our dear colleague and friend, Ben Swales, who tragically passed away earlier this year. Ben was a beloved member of the Astutis family for over 12 years, and his passing has left a profound impact on all of us.
Ben was not only a valued member of our team but also an ambassador for Mind—a charity that Ben passionately supported throughout his life. His work at Astutis, especially in the fields of IT support, demonstrated his commitment to helping others—whether through the skills he imparted, the projects he led, or the friendships he forged along the way. Ben was the heart of many initiatives, always going above and beyond to support both his colleagues and our customers. His empathy, generosity, and sense of humour made him an integral part of the team, and his absence has left a space that no one can fill.
Mind is an organisation that means a great deal to us, and to Ben in particular. As a charity, it works tirelessly to provide mental health services and advocate for the rights of individuals affected by mental health issues. By supporting Mind, we hope to continue Ben’s legacy, ensuring that his passion for mental health awareness lives on in a way that makes a real difference.
While we will miss Ben deeply, we take comfort in knowing that his advocacy and spirit are carried on through the work of organisations like Mind. In lieu of sending physical cards this Christmas, we hope that our donation, and the donations we pledge to make in 2025, will contribute to the vital services that Mind provides, supporting those who need help with their mental health, just as Ben would have wanted.
From all of us at Astutis, we extend our deepest gratitude for the ongoing support of our customers and partners. We look forward to another year of collaboration and commitment to the values that matter most.
In honour of Ben, we wish you all a peaceful and reflective festive season.
