Their manufacturing site in Kirkham, Lancashire has over 400 employees and is operational 24 hours a day up to 7 days per week.

Kepak’s training objective

Committed to maintaining its excellent safety standards, Kepak understood the importance of their staff completing an accredited health and safety qualification relevant to the individual’s job and responsibilities. • IOSH Managing Safely was suitable for staff with management responsibilities, such as Kepak’s Production Supervisors.
• The shorter IOSH Working Safely course was suitable for junior Team Leaders, enabling them to realise the importance of health and safety early in their management career.

Concerns addressed

Another key factor was that many of the staff delegates didn’t have English as their first language so clear, easy to follow learning materials was paramount for a successful outcome.
