We are incredibly proud of our important work with CHEP. We incorporated vital NEBOSH and IOSH training into the DNA of their business to drive efficiency and safe practice.

Course

IOSH Working Safely / IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Diploma

Background

CHEP manages, maintains and supplies 330 million pallets and containers shared by manufacturers, distributors, and retailers worldwide. For more than 60 years, CHEP has enhanced supply chains to connect with more trading partners, reduce transportation, create less waste, use less natural resources and lower platform inventories.

Challenges

CHEP was looking for internal upgrades on their health and safety procedures. They specified that a consistent and straightforward approach would best suit their business structure. Therefore, CHEP wanted to source a single supplier for accredited health safety and environmental training for its’s European operations.

After consultation, Astutis was awarded a 3-year contract to service a wide range of training courses and qualifications through multiple delivery methods (e-learning, virtual, classroom). Currently supporting CHEP employees with IOSH Working SafelyIOSH Managing SafelyNEBOSH Certificate and NEBOSH Diploma training.

Results

CHEP desired to see a gradual improvement in their European operations' health and safety standards whilst working with Astutis.

Starting with IOSH Working Safely, Astutis introduced foundation level principles to CHEP's base level workforce. The intention was to start at the bottom of the progression ladder, offering an organic pathway for motivated workers to climb and become more and more accredited. To those in supervisory roles in the organisation, we recommended the IOSH Managing Safely qualification to cement managerial responsibilities concerning health and safety.
