Kate James, Marketing Manager
Kate joins us as an integral member of the marketing team bringing with her a wealth of industry experience gained over 15 years’ working predominantly in the training sector and also in gift-ware. Having completed the NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and participated in a wide range of health and safety events, she can draw upon her experience across diverse marketing activities.

                 Hillary Grey, International Course Adviser - South Africa
Having re-located to Wales, Hillary joins us from the Eastern Cape and Garden Route region of South Africa where she was Sales Manager for Nedbank Ltd. Hillary, who has also worked and lived in West Africa and Johannesburg, is a welcome addition to the team and is ideally placed to advise our clients in South Africa.

Melanie Jackson, Training Solutions Adviser
Melanie is Yorkshire born and bred and joins the team as a Course Adviser for our training centres in the North East of England. She has a professional background in training and business development. She loves the challenge of studying and developing new skills and having recently completed the NEBOSH Certificate In Occupational Health and Safety, she brings a fresh perspective to advising her customers.

                 Scott Keen
                Scott joins the Astutis advisory team on a 6 month placement with the Jobs Growth Wales scheme - an initiative designed to get young people into work. Scott has already proved himself a valued member of the team who is always prepared to assist with any sales administration tasks when needed. Scott has previously worked in retail and for the Job Centre and is currently working on data cleansing at Astutis.


Over in Online Learning

Our busy online learning team has been bolstered by an influx of new joiners recently - all of whom will be pulling together to ensure the launch of our new courses runs smoothly.

Daniel Kerr, Learning Designer - MSc, PGCE
Daniel spent five years in secondary teaching, helping to bring schools into the 21st century in their use of technology in the classroom.  He is a specialist in the use of technology to enhance education, currently studying the impact of e-learning on our delegate outcomes. Daniel is working to design online learning experiences that develop confident professionals as well as delivering exam success.

                 Victoria Boyce, Multimedia Developer - BSc (Hons) Creative Technology
Victoria has worked for over four years in the creative industries, where she started as a Post-Production Assistant and has since continued to develop her career and enhance her multimedia skills. Her areas of expertise include animation, motion graphics, graphic design and video production. Victoria strives to provide the Astutis online learners with a fun and engaging learning experience.

Tomas Blanco, Multimedia Developer - Honours in Economics, Masters in Multimedia Material Development (UOC, 2004), Masters in Communication Research Methods (UOC, 2007)
Tomas has been working for media, advertising and online training companies for more than nine years, and has also collaborated with universities such as the University of Barcelona and Ramon Llull University (Barcelona). His areas of expertise include user interface design and interactive multimedia, applied to online learning. Tomas ensures that a high standard and cutting edge technology is applied in the Astutis courses, making them attractive and available for all possible devices.

                 Paul Mullins, InDesign Developer - BA (Hons) Multimedia
Paul Mullins smallPaul has over 12 years’ experience working in graphic design, the vast majority as a Designer and Developer of online learning materials for school curriculums and distance learning for the armed forces. Paul’s toolbox of skills range from web design to illustration and user experience to voice-over and sound design but it is his experience with print design that ensures the digital support documents for Astutis online learners are of the highest quality.

Course Delivery

We also have two new Consultants set to join the course delivery team shortly. With leisure and construction backgrounds, they are sure to bring a wealth of experience with to Astutis - watch this space for updates!
