It is for managers in any function not just health & safety from all types of organisations in all sectors. Companies are increasingly adding this widely recognised qualification to their management programme.

What is covered in the NEBOSH General Certificate? 

The NEBOSH Certificate covers the key legal requirements for health and safety and the identification and control of workplace hazards. No previous health and safety knowledge is required.

The NEBOSH Certificate is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately: 

NG1: Management of health and safety 
NG2: Risk Assessment

Course assessment and NEBOSH certificate

There is a 2-hour question paper for NG1 consisting of 10 short answer questions and 1 long answer; NG2 is assessed with a 3-hour practical assessment carried out in the workplace.
