Astutis hand over Presents to Rhondda Cynon Taf Councils Santa Appeal

The team at Astutis proved it’s never too early for Christmas presents as they handed over 50 donated gifts for children may not have a gift to open on Christmas morning.

Astutis, the leading provider of health, safety and environmental training, presented the gifts to the Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Councillor Linda De Vet, while on a visit to the Astutis Head Office in Nantgarw, South Wales.

The Children receiving the Santa Appeal gifts have been identified by RCT Council social workers. They will wake up on Christmas morning to at least one seasonal gift, each of which had been thoughtfully selected for their specific age.

 

Claire Powell, Charity Committee Member, Astutis, said: “We raise money regularly for local charities. As it is coming up to Christmas, my colleagues and I voted overwhelmingly to support the Santa appeal to ensure no child misses out over the festive season.”

Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Councillor De Vet said: "The Santa Appeal has been a successful Christmas tradition in Rhondda Cynon Taf for many years and thousands of gifts have been delivered to countless children less fortunate than others. Thanks to the generosity of Astutis, we really can make a difference once again this Christmas.”

During her term, the Mayor will be supporting many charities, including Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales, Friends of Animals Wales and the New Horizons Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre. As a charity partner, the team at Astutis look forward to supporting many more local charities next year.
