Astutis Tops the Tables Again in the 10k

The 20 strong team of Astutis runners again took to the streets of Cardiff on Sunday in a bid to raise much needed funds for Kidney Wales, supporting those affected by kidney disease.

Last year the team took the spot of top fundraiser and were keen to emulate this in 2013.

Our sincerest thanks go to all who supported us to raise a total of £1,912 - which is almost £850 up on last year! And yes, we did indeed make top fundraiser again with your help!

There were also some great times achieved which the team can be proud of:

• Astutis were the 17th fastest team out of a total of 119 teams who entered the event this year - this represents an improvement of 16 places on last year's 33rd;
• 3 members of the Astutis team were placed in the top 500 - out of 3230 runners who completed the course;
• 12 Astutis runners completed the course in under an hour; and
• 10 personal bests were achieved along the way!

Helen Hodges, Learning Designer at Astutis and 10k Team Captain said:

"It was fantastic that all team members completed the course whilst raising an amazing amount of money for Kidney Wales - the aches and pains were all worth it! Thanks to everyone who supported us. It was a another great team effort and we hope to make it a 'hat-trick' next year!"
