Astutis Welcomes New Scottish Consultant

Astutis is pleased to announce the latest addition to our Scottish team; Chartered Health, Safety and Environmental practitioner and Associate IEMA Member Jim Anderson, based in Glasgow.

Jim has been actively involved in mainstream health and safety for over 21 years, working in nuclear, explosive, engineering, transport and water front environments and is excited to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with delegates across the Scottish region, guiding them towards exam success.

International experience

Jim has taught NEBOSH, IOSH and IEMA accredited courses achieving consistently high pass rates of 97% to a variety of organisations, including Muller Milk and Ingredients, Smirnoff Plants, Rolls Royce, Scottish Agricultural College, Glasgow Academy, Perth Council, Arran and Ayrshire NHS, Fife Council, Grampian NHS to name but a few. He is also experienced in the delivery of IOSH and CIEH courses and specialist Health & Safety courses including Asbestos Awareness Management, Control of Major Accident Hazard Regulations and Fire Awareness. 

Jim has a particular love for delivering Environmental training, having delivered accredited IEMA, CIEH and Environmental Awareness courses in both the UK and across the seas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cairo, Kuwait and New Zealand, as well as devised and delivered a number of bespoke environmental courses for both small and medium sized businesses including the HM Naval Base.   

About Jim

In his spare time, Jim enjoys trying single Malt Whiskey’s, with a particularly fondness for Glenmorangie and Dalwhinnie, as well as a supporting his local sports teams; the Glasgow Warriors and Glasgow Rangers. Having taken up golf late in life, Jim is now a member of the Vale of Level Golf Club, where he regularly plays while taking in views over Loch Lomond. As a safety professional, Jim volunteers on the committee as a Health, Safety and Environment member.
