NEBOSH Award Winners: Achieving Excellence Through Astutis Courses

Winning an award for Best Candidate in any of the three Units requires an additional level of commitment and excellence, that Astutis learners are well known for. 

Rhys Fulthorpe and Jason Kent continued a recent annual trend of Astutis learners taking three out of four of the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma awards up for grabs. Rhys also took home the grand prize of Best Overall Candidate, which is awarded for outstanding marks across all three Units in addition to his award for Best Unit DN2. Jason had claimed the Best Unit DN3 award.

Jason echoed this sentiment, as he had been wanting to complete the NEBOSH Diploma for a long time, having already spent a decade honing his craft.

“I think it's a bit surreal. I think when I sort of first set off on the NEBOSH Diploma, you sort of see the different categories of class distinction, credit, etcetera. I always had eyes on trying to obtain a distinction. But to have come here today and find out I’ve won the award as well. It’s just a huge privilege.”

Jason was also very emotional about being bestowed the honour, and signed off with a inspiring message.

“I can't even put it into words, to be honest with you. It's amazing. A lot of hard work and effort, during evenings and on the weekends as well. I’m just overwhelmed with the honour. I’d really recommend anyone on the course and really put the graft in, as it’s an incredible feeling.”
