Team Astutis is training hard for Cardiff 10k
The team at Astutis are lacing up their trainers once again for Kidney Wales and taking part in the Cardiff 10K in September. 2015 will mark this iconic event's 30th year of racing around the capital, and Team Astutis’ fourth year of participating.
The Cardiff 10k first began in the mid-eighties and has quickly evolved into one of the top 10K road races in the UK, attracting over 5,000 people including elite runners, celebrities, corporate and community teams and thousands of eager members of the public willing to test their stamina not just for Kidney Wales but many other worthwhile causes.
The Charity Kidney Wales Foundation
Kidney Wales is the sole organiser of this popular event. This incredible charity works hard to provide support to patients with kidney disease and their families, investing in patient care, equipment and hospital refurbishment as well as arranging fun days out to theme parks, birthday parties, Christmas parties and tutor support for their younger patients so that children don’t miss out on their education. Astutis is very proud to say they have raised over £6,000 for Kidney Wales over the years and is hoping to once again smash their target and raise another £3,000 this year.
Follow Rosie Thomas’ training on Facebook and Twitter if you are unable to make it on 6 September and keep up to date on the team’s progress and fundraising activities over the next few weeks.
