What You Can Expect When You Have a NEBOSH Certificate?

Successfully achieving the NEBOSH Certificate means you will hold an internationally recognised qualification on which to build a future in the health and safety industry.

In passing the NEBOSH NG course you can:

  • Apply for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH
  • Apply for Associate Membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) using AIIRSM after your name
  • Gain the NEBOSH National General Certificate qualification, which is recognised around the world

How long will the NEBOSH National General Certificate take?

The course takes 10 days.

By applying the knowledge learned, you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of the content of the course from each of the following elements:

Element 1: Management of Health and Safety

  • Why we should manage workplace health and safety
  • How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
  • Managing risk - understanding people and processes
  • Health and safety monitoring and measuring

Element 2: Risk Assessment

  • Physical and psychological health
  • Musculoskeletal health
  • Chemical and biological agents
  • General workplace issues
  • Work equipment
  • Fire
  • Electricity

Within two weeks of the NG1 question paper, you need to complete your Unit NG2 work based practical assessment.
