The NEBOSH Fire Certificate is designed for managers and supervisory staff who are responsible for their organisation meeting its responsibilities under fire safety legislation, as well as those keen to develop their knowledge and skill set to include fire risk management
By taking this course you will be confident with the knowledge and practical skill set to enable your organisation to meet their legal fire safety responsibilities, creating a safer working environment and protecting people, property and assets.
This qualification meets academic requirements for technical membership of IOSH (TechIOSH) and Associate membership of the international Institute of Risk and Safety Management (AIIRSM). It allows you to apply for Technician and/or Associate Membership of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO). Persons with the relevant skills and experience may also apply to join the IFPO Fire Risk Assessors Register.
The NEBOSH Fire Certificate is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately. Delegates must have successfully completed the NGC1 exam within the last 5 years to be eligible for this course.
This is a popular qualification providing delegates with the knowledge and skills to carry out fire risk assessments and embed good practice.
It covers the legal requirements under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), a range of fire protective and preventative measures and how to undertake fire risk assessments in most, low risk workplaces.
There is 1 half day exam for the FC1.
FC2 is assessed with a 2-hour practical fire risk assessment carried out in the workplace.
