The IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing has no pre-determined entry requirements. This ensures any line manager can take the course and immediately have a positive impact on their company’s wellbeing and mental health.
Module 1
A Healthy Company
Introduces the foundational principles of health and management. The unit also incorporates the 'Health Needs Assessment' and how they can benefit overall business performance.
Module 2
Fitness for Work
Examines the different kinds of non-work related injuries and conditions establishing how they detract from being able to work.
Module 3
Health Risk Assessment
Introduces the five health hazard categories and looks at the causes of work-related health hazards in each category and the impact each cause.
Module 4
Wellbeing
This unit focuses on how to successfully implement a wellbeing strategy and how it adds value to your business.
At the end of the course, there is a short multiple choice test, comprised of 20 questions, you will have 30 minutes to complete.
There is also a practical workplace health risk assessment, to be completed within 2 weeks of completing the course material and submitted by email.
The IOSH Managing Safely course is a more direct approach to Health and Safety in the workplace. It explores the visible risks that could be hazardous to the health and wellbeing of your team or general staff. Meanwhile the IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing course inspects the less visible risks that could affect mental health and wellbeing.

After finishing the IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing course materials, learners must pass a multiple-choice test consisting of twenty questions with a thirty minute time limit. Learners must also submit a practical workplace health risk assessment within two weeks of finishing the course materials.
As part of the IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing course, learners must submit a Practical Workplace Health Risk Assessment of their own workplace, within two weeks of finishing their course materials.
