Intersec 2014 was a great success reflecting the prospering economy across the Middle East. There was a significant interest in the growth in NEBOSH qualifications and benefits for individuals and employers.
At times we are all guilty of complacency, especially when tackling the mundane and routine daily tasks that we are faced with - and yet it is exactly these that can lead to some of the most horrific accidents.
In a New Year’s press release, the Health and Safety Executive wants businesses that provide customer service to turn over a new leaf and stop blaming health and safety for poor or over-the-top decisions.
Two NEBOSH qualifications are now accepted by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme as proof of competence to work on construction sites. Further changes in the structure of the National and International General Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety mean that as of January 2014, holders of either of these qualifications will be able to gain the other by taking just one additional unit.
