Crown Paints - Tailored Accident Investigation Training
In this case study we look back at our time working with Crown Paints. We intergrated the NEBOSH Accident Investigation course into their business driving improvement and standards into their business DNA.
Course
Astutis' has a longstanding partnership with Crown Paints, delivering NEBOSH and IOSH training initiatives at the site in Darwen as well as a behavioural programme called Towards Total Safety. Crown Paints are part of the Hempel Group who are a world-leading coatings supplier to the decorative, protective, marine, container and yacht markets. Crown Paints brands are the most recognisable in the marketplace by both the professionals and the homeowner.
Tailored Accident Investigation training
More recently, Ron Anderson from the Hull site requested assistance with some Accident Investigation training. Reflecting on why training was delivered, Ron said: ‘We have a great team of Safety Advisors and Managers on-site but just wanted to be sure that accidents were being investigated and reported in a consistent way. I have worked with Astutis in developing a bespoke site-wide programme that now ticks all of the right boxes and gives us a superb platform more moving forward with our accident reporting’.
This training is now also being delivered for 30 staff at the Darwen site.
Great working relationship
Mark Lloyd, Head of HS&E said ‘It has been a great working relationship and very much a lasting one I was actually trained in my NEBOSH Diploma by Brenig Moore (Astutis Operations Director) many years ago when I started my career in health and safety’
