Astutis Smashes Cardiff 10k Targets
The event was kicked off by Call the Midwife and Casualty star George Rainsford, who signalled the start of the race outside of Cardiff’s Civic Centre and passed through some of Cardiff’s best landmarks including Bute park, Cardiff Castle and Llandaff fields.
This year Astutis set out to bring their fundraising total of 5 years to £10k. Over the summer Astutis has hosted a range of activities to raise money including an auction, raffle and Office Olympics – we’re pleased to announce that thanks to the team’s fundraising efforts and the generous donations received, we’ve exceeded our £10k target and reached a massive £11, 411!
It wasn’t just fundraising targets that were reached, many of the Astutis runners completed the race in under 1 hour, leading to Team Astutis to be the 22nd out of 209 corporate teams to cross the finishing line.
There were lots of personal bests led by our Technical and Multimedia Manager, Paul Gray who completed the race in 49 minutes and 6 seconds! Paul commented
“This has been a great year for Astutis and the Cardiff 10k and I’m so proud of the effort everyone has put in to training and fundraising. Kidney Wales does incredible work and its a pleasure to be a part of such a great cause”
Astutis would like to give a special thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. There is still time to donate on our official fundraising page.
