Astutis Hosts Office Olympics
After witnessing the incredible performance of Team GB at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Astutis decided to host its own games to raise money for Kidney Wales.
Staff competed in their teams across four events; hula hooping, paper aeroplane javelin, box limbo and planking, as well as indulged in some international cuisine. The event raised over £80 for Kidney Wales, bringing the total amount raised over the past 5 years to a whopping £10,148!
Astutis was joined by Lloyd Bowen of Kidney Wales for the afternoon, who also took part in the final planking challenge. Though the competition was strong, Astutis’ Online Learning Team were crowned the ultimate champions after lasting an incredible 6 minutes and 23 seconds. Lloyd commented:
“Team Astutis has shown a tremendous amount of support for Kidney Wales for over 5 years. They have smashed their fundraising target of £10k and we cannot thank them enough. We look forward to seeing them take to the starting line at the Cardiff 10k and cheering them on!”
The Cardiff 10k takes place on September 11th and will welcome 5,000 runners to the capital. Organised by Kidney Wales, the iconic events aims to raise money and awareness for various charities across the UK. If you would like to sponsor Astutis, you can do so over on our official fundraising page.
